Therapy that’s centered around you.
My Therapeutic Services
I have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and in October 2022, I look forward to adding Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I would view my therapeutic approach as an integrated approach. I believe we are unique individuals and therapy should be tailored and not a one size fits all design. I have extensive training in the above modalities, however I do not limit my practice to them.

EMDR
I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). It is a form of psychotherapy that is used to treat trauma and other psychological disorders. The treatment was developed in the 1980s to help individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and involves a series of guided eye movements that are designed to stimulate the brain’s natural healing processes. During an EMDR session, we will guide you to recall traumatic memories while also engaging in rhythmic eye movements, hand tapping, or other forms of bilateral stimulation. The process will help you reprocess the traumatic memory, reducing its emotional intensity and allowing you to develop more adaptive beliefs and behaviors. EMDR has also been used to treat a variety of other mental health conditions, including anxiety, and/or depression.

Frequently Asked Questions?
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
No, I am an out of network provider for insurance companies. If your insurance does cover out-of-network providers, I can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
You can find out from your insurance about coverage regarding out-of-network providers by calling the phone number listed on back on your insurance ID card. I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
• Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
• Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
• Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
• Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
• If your insurance does cover out-of-network providers, I’m can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING FIRST SESSION?
The first session usually entails going over intake forms, discussing your therapy needs and goals, and some follow up questions on my part in response to your needs, goals, and questions. It tends to be a little more structured than future sessions. Research shows that it can take up to three sessions before you feel more comfortable with a therapist.
WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted for payment.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Any cancellation must be 24 hours in advance of scheduled appointment. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment and you have not cancelled 24 hours in advance, you will be responsible to pay the full cost of the session. This policy applies to all clients including reduced fee clients.
WHAT IS THE NO SURPRISE ACT?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
