Welcome to my first entry and a little part of my world. First off, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. Out of all the things you could be doing right now, you’re spending it with me—and for that, I am truly grateful (insert praying hands emoji here).

My journey to wellness and healing has been years in the making, and venturing into writing about it is something I’ve always wanted to do. Sharing my passion for wellness and helping others become better versions of themselves has always been a dream. So, what took me so long? In a nutshell, perfectionism. I wanted my first entry to be perfect and kept chasing that ideal. But today, the lightbulb finally went off in my brain! I put perfectionism aside and changed my mindset: “It doesn’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to start.”

Finally, I gave myself the permission I was waiting for—the permission to be me, flaws and all. This is a reminder about growth: nothing blossoms overnight. A seed takes time to turn into a flower. So, take the keys, press start, and let the engine run. Remove the expectations of perfection, take a breath, just be, then do.

Journey to Wellness and Healing is here to give you a glimpse into my mind, body, and soul. 2025 is a special year for me. It marks 50 years of my revolution around the sun and the five-year anniversary of my marriage. I am a woman of faith and believe true authenticity comes from the alignment of mind, body, and spirit.

It’s ironic that today, the 10th day of the fifth month, I decided to write my first entry—and that May coincides with Mental Health Awareness Month. Everything happens when it’s meant to happen.

Please remember: It doesn’t have to be perfect—just start. It’s not about big leaps; it’s about the baby steps.

By the way, Mother’s Day is tomorrow. Don’t forget to call your mom, send her a virtual hug, or say a prayer for her.
